Information We Collect

  • Information you give us: If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, website, and comment text you enter. If you email us, we receive your email address and message.
  • Information collected automatically: Like most websites, our server and service providers receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described below.

Our Free Online Tools

Our image converters, QR code generator, and text tools run entirely in your web browser. Files and text you use in these tools are not uploaded to or stored on our server.

The Keyword Rank Checker sends your keywords, domain, and location directly from your browser to Serper.dev using the API key you provide. We do not receive or store your API key or search results. If you choose “Remember my key on this device”, the key is saved only in your own browser’s local storage. Your use of Serper.dev is governed by Serper’s own terms and privacy policy.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (for example, which pages are popular). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages viewed and approximate location. You can learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense

We display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings, or opt out of personalized advertising from participating companies at aboutads.info (US) and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
  • Learn more about how Google uses data in its Advertising policy.

Google Fonts

The Site uses fonts provided by Google Fonts. To load them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.

Your Consent Choices (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized advertising and related cookies are used. This consent message is provided by Google, a Google-certified consent management platform that follows the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the “Privacy and cookie settings” link shown on the Site.

How We Use Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our tools
  • To display and moderate comments
  • To respond to your messages
  • To understand Site usage and performance
  • To show advertising that helps keep our content and tools free
  • To protect the Site against spam, abuse, and security threats

Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data based on your consent (for advertising and analytics cookies), our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site, moderating comments), and, where applicable, to comply with legal obligations.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers that help us run the Site, including our hosting provider, Google (Analytics, AdSense, and Fonts), and Google’s advertising partners as described above. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Data Retention

Comments and their associated data are kept until the comment is deleted. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings. Emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for our records.

Your Rights

EEA, UK, and Switzerland: You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California and other US states: Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. To opt out of personalized advertising, use the links in the Google AdSense section above. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law.

To make a request, email us at ask@identitydesign.us. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International Transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
